O NOSSO QUINTAL The Backyard of Kizomba Lisbon | 23· 24 · 25 October 2026 Synopsis O Nosso Quintal is more than a festival it is a cultural journey that recreates the authentic spirit of Angola’s traditional backyard parties. For three days, Lisbon becomes a meeting point between Africa and the world, where music, dance, and community come together in a vibrant and familiar atmosphere. Through workshops, parties, concerts, and an international dance competition, the event celebrates the roots of Kizomba, Semba, and Kuduro, showcasing the living essence of Angolan culture. Concept Inspired by Angola’s traditional backyard gatherings spaces of joy, connection, and cultural expression -O Nosso Quintal brings this genuine spirit to the heart of Europe. This event does not follow the format of European festivals: it is a warm, authentic, and deeply Angolan celebration, where music and dance build bridges between generations and cultures. Program Friday – 23 October 2026 14:00 – 18:00 → Workshops 23h – 04:00 → Backyard Party (Opening Night) Saturday – 24 October 2026 13:00 – 15:00 → Workshops 15:30 – 21:00 → Social + Street Dance Competition Final 23:00 – 04:00 → Backyard Party with Top DJs Sunday – 25 October 2026 14:00 – 22:00 → Social with Live Band Closing Celebration RSK- Competition Dance Styles: Kizomba, Semba, Kuduro, Afro House Total of 10 competing couples Four finalists from Angola, selected through the national street competition Six finalists from Europe, America, and Asia, selected online (exclusively for dancers outside Angola) All submitted videos, along with those from the Angolan street competition, will be promoted on the event’s official platforms. Registration is free, and all competitors receive a Full Pass for the festival.
